Privacy policy

Money is a private, single-user personal finance tool operated by its owner for their own use only. It is not offered as a service to third parties and has no other users.

What data is processed

Where the owner chooses to connect an account through open banking, the tool reads, on a read-only basis, the account's balances and transaction history. It also stores balances the owner enters manually. It never receives, stores, or has access to bank login credentials, passwords, card numbers, or full account numbers.

How access works

Account access is granted by the owner authenticating directly with their own bank and consenting to read-only access via a regulated open-banking provider (Enable Banking Oy). The provider transmits the authorised data; no bank credentials are shared with this tool or the provider.

Where data is stored

Data is stored in a private database hosted in the European Union, accessible only to the owner behind single-sign-on authentication. Backups are encrypted. Data is never sold, shared, used for advertising, or disclosed to any third party.

Retention and deletion

The owner may delete any data at any time, and may withdraw open-banking consent directly with their bank or provider at any time, which stops all further access.
